I just purchased my second bottle of this glue. It works really well and has repaired more shoes than I care to admit, hence my need for a second bottle. I'll typically apply it the night before and let them sit for a day or two before I wear the shoe again. Once fixed they're as good as new.

I got this to reattach a loose flapping sole. It's easier to use and far less fumey than contact cement. It bonds tight very quickly and is holding up fairly well. The shoes get heavy usage, and one corner of a sole seems to be getting a little loose again after a few weeks, so I'll just hit it with another short bead of the glue. It seems to be very much like "super glue", so you have to be careful to avoid ending up wearing a shoe on your finger. This is my new standard for shoe fixes.
